I generally recommend that people use something like iTunes to subscribe to the podcast, or at least to listen to individual episides. The onscreen Flash player is really only there as a convenience (although it doesn't sound like it's been too convenient for you! Sorry) and is best used just to grab a quick preview. Definitely better to download the episode if you plan to listen to the whole thing. At the top of the main page you will find a link called "How to Subscribe" and it will explain it all for you.
